Introduction

Elthos ("Elthos" or "We") respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy applies to the information that we obtain through your use of Elthos services, including our web application (www.elthos.com ), platforms, and web-based tools (collectively the “Services”). This policy is incorporated into the Terms of Service Agreement and describes our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information.

Please familiarize yourself with our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, you should not use our Service. By accessing or using this Service, you agree to this privacy policy.

Children Under the Age of 13

Our Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Service or on or through any of its features/register on the Service, make any purchases through the Service, use any of the interactive or public comment features of this Service or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information and deny service. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

We collect the following information:

Account and Profile Information: We collect information about you when you register for an account, create or modify your profile. Information we collect includes your username and email address.

User Content: We collect and store content that you create, input, submit, post, upload, transmit, or store in the process of using our Services (collectively, "User Content"). Such content may include any personal or other sensitive information submitted using our Services, and other information such as texts and images. Your User Content are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. Although we strive to keep your identity anonymous on our service, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Service with whom you may choose to share your User Content. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Content will not be viewed by unauthorized persons, such as persons who are not registered users of our Service.

Other submissions: We collect other data that you may submit to our Services or us directly, such as when you request Customer support or communicate with us via email or social media sites. We may also ask you for information when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us.

Information We Collect Automatically

Log Data and Analytics Information: we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns, including, details of your visits to our Service, including Internet protocol (IP) or other device addresses or ID numbers as well as browser type, time of connection, aggregated information and any error messages produced by the Service.

The information we collect automatically is statistical data and does not include personal information, but we may maintain it or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways or receive from third parties, including our analytics providers. This information helps us maintain and improve our Service.

Cookies (or browser cookies): Depending on how you’re accessing our products, we may use “cookies” (a small text file sent by your computer each time you visit our Service, unique to your Elthos account or your browser) or similar technologies to record log data. When we use cookies, we may use “persistent” cookies (that last until you or your browser delete them). Persistent Cookies are used for the sole purpose of providing users with the convenience of allowing them to return to the site with their last used preferences intact. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Service.

Third-party Use of Cookies: Some content or applications, including our analytics and our newsletter subscription are served by third-parties. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our Service. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different Services and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. We use MailChimp to bring our newsletters to you. Please review their privacy policy at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/ if you do not wish to be subject to the MailChimp privacy policy please do not subcribe to our newsletter list.

How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information: to present our Service and its contents to you; to allow you to communicate with other subscribers who have characters in a Gamemaster’s World and to allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service; to provide you with information, products or services that you request from us; to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it; to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us; to notify you about changes to our Service or any products or services we offer or provide though it; in any other way we may describe when you provide the information; for any other purpose with your consent.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose your information in the following ways:

Aggregated Information: We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. Aggregated information is shared with, among others, Google Analytics and Mail Chimp for the purposes of analytics, promotion and marketing.

Service Providers: We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide to our subsidiaries and affiliates; to contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

For Business Purposes: to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of Elthos’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Elthos about our Service users is among the assets transferred;

For your use: To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. For example, if you contact us with questions or comments and provide an email address, we will use that email address to respond; for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; and with your express consent.

Compliance with laws; protection of our rights and the rights of others: We may disclose your information to comply with any court order, law or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request; to enforce or apply our Terms and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes; if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Elthos, our Customers or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

Tracking Technologies: You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

Promotional Offers from Elthos: If you do not wish to have your e-mail address used by Elthos to promote our products or services, you can by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email you receive from us.

Sharing Your Email Address: If you do not want other users to email you, please don’t share your email address in the public portions of our service.

We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") on the NAI's Service.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Service and visiting your account profile page.

If you delete your Private User Content from the Service, your User Content will be deleted from our system immediately. However, if you delete your Public User Content, some of your data might have been copied or stored by other Service users, and any such copies to other Worlds will not be deleted. Proper access and use of information provided on the Service, including User Content, is governed by our Terms of Service.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain features of our Service, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the Service like the forum. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the Service.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Service. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Service.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated on the Service home page. If we make significant changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the Service home page or by contacting you as required by law. International Users

Our Services are hosted in the United States and intended for users located within the United States. If you choose to use the Services from the European Union or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, then please note that you are transferring your information outside of those regions to the United States for storage and processing. By providing your information, you consent to any transfer and processing in accordance with this Policy.
